By using Bellek, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part, you may not use our service.
Bellek is a Chrome extension (with a companion web app) that helps users build their vocabulary by:
You can use Bellek's free features without creating an account. Your data is stored locally in your browser.
You may create a free account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. An account enables:
Subscriptions purchased through our previous payment provider (ExtensionPay) before the transition to Stripe remain valid. Legacy subscribers keep Premium access through the transition period (in-app access honored until 30 September 2026) and are invited in-app to move to the new system. No one is charged twice for the same period.
We review refund requests case-by-case. You may be eligible if:
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights (including UK/EU consumer rights).
Submit requests via our website contact form. Reviews are completed within 2–3 business days. Refunds are issued at our discretion (subject to your statutory rights).
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; use automated systems to access the service; violate laws or regulations; infringe intellectual property rights; harass, abuse, or harm others; attempt unauthorized access; resell or redistribute the service; abuse the free trial (e.g., creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated trials).
You retain rights to your saved vocabulary. Don't save content that violates copyrights. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
Our property: the Bellek name, logo, branding, software code, algorithms, UI designs, documentation, and marketing materials.
Your property: your saved words and vocabulary lists, personal learning data and statistics, and content you create using Bellek.
Your use of Bellek is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using Bellek, you consent to our data practices as described there.
We strive for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. No liability for third-party website or service availability (including dictionary and payment providers).
Bellek is a learning tool, not a guarantee of vocabulary mastery. Results depend on individual effort and consistency.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bellek shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; lost profits or data; or damages exceeding the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bellek from claims arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or your content or actions.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features, change pricing with 30 days' notice, and update these Terms with notification.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
First attempt informal resolution by contacting us. If that fails, disputes will be resolved through the courts of the United Kingdom.
Entire Agreement: these Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Bellek. Severability: if any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. No Waiver: failure to enforce a right isn't a waiver of it.
